PROJECTS - 2023

1. SMART HELMET

TEAM MEMBERS : Haritha Sri KG , Jeyasuriya SK ,Santhosh NP

The proposed project presents a innovative approach to mitigate the bike accidents by incorporating a heart rate sensor integrated with a microcontroller board, seamlessly connected to both the helmet and the vehicle. The core functionality involves sending a signal to the vehicle, enabling ignition only when the rider wears the helmet. Conversely, the ignition supply will automatically be disengaged upon helmet removal. This innovative system operates by continuously monitoring the rider’s heart rate at regular intervals. Furthermore, the project aims to enhance user awareness by providing real-time updates on their heart rate status.

2. DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF EASILY USABLE SNAKE DETECTION DEVICE:

TEAM MEMBERS : Deepak R , Milan jose, Praveen Kumar S, Sakthi Mahendran L, Sakthivel Thangapandian P K

This project employs NodeMCU to capture images from a camera and transmit them to the cloud. A Deep Learning model detects snakes in the images, triggering alerts sent to users via a mobile app. Enhancing safety, this system offers real-time snake detection for timely warnings.

3. TAG: TRANSIST ADVANCEMENT FOR GREEN WAYS:

TEAM MEMBERS : Hrithik balaji S , Sathya Sai Narayanan S , Fathima firose A ,Umeshwar M, Priyanka sherylln S

The proposed solution is a groundbreaking mobile application designed to revamp the urban commuting experience by tackling the challenges associated with declining public transport usage in urban India. The central feature is an intelligent chatbot, serving as a 24/7 virtual travel assistant, providing real-time information, routes, schedules, and valuable suggestions in a user-friendly manner. Complementing this, a credit system rewards users for consistent public transport use, fostering loyalty and creating a win-win scenario for commuters and service providers. This holistic solution leverages technology and user-centric design to promote sustainable urban mobility, making public transport more appealing, efficient, and environmentally friendly, thereby contributing to the creation of more livable and eco-conscious cities.

4. INNOVATIVE WASTE SEGREGATION MODEL FOR ENHANCED RECYCLING AND SUSTAINABLE WASTE DEVELOPMENT:

TEAM MEMBERS: Aswin sankesh GS, Mokhana GGR, Sriram P, Sivaranjini S, Kirthikaa Rk, Bharath Kumar L

This project is motivated by the critical need for innovative waste management solutions. Anticipated delays in implementing smart dustbins and the potential for overflowing dumps due to improper waste disposal threatens the environment and public health. This project introduces a novel waste segregation model utilizing common physics principles such as eddy current, and optical recognition systems to optimize waste sorting, enhance recycling, and promote sustainability. By improving sorting precision and reducing cross-contamination, this model aligns with global sustainability goals, offering a practical solution to the growing waste crisis while bridging the gap until smart dustbins become more prevalent.

5. GROWTH OF WATER HYACINTH AND FLOATING WASTE IN WATER BODIES:

TEAM MEMBERS: Guhan S, Surya prakash P, Balaji Prabhu S, Prajeeth Kumar M, Abdur rahman

The motivation behind this project stems from a dual purpose: addressing environmental concerns and fostering innovation. Water hyacinth's notorious invasive nature and its impact on waterways call for creative solutions. By repurposing it alongside polypropylene, we aim to mitigate its negative effects while contributing to sustainability. The prospect of crafting robust and versatile threads from these materials opens doors to various industries, from textiles to home decor. This project strives to harness nature's resilience in water hyacinth and the versatility of polypropylene, synergizing their strengths for a greener, economically beneficial, and environmentally sustainable future.

PROJECTS - 2022

IUCEE MINDSPARK

1. TITLE : Development of a system to monitor water usage using RFID and Water switch

THEME : Water Conservation

TEAM MEMBERS : Sakthivel Thangapandian, Suriya Ramkumar, Varun, Rakshan Jagan

Unregulated everyday domestic water consumption by the general public. The team created a system with RFID,Water Flow Sensor and Water switch, which would turn off the tap when daily limit of 60 litres is reached.

2. TITLE : NALC Watch

THEME : Human health

TEAM MEMBERS : Surya Prakash P, Sudhan Kumar J, Praveen V, Sriram P

This project aims to liberate individuals from substance addiction, particularly alcohol. It addresses the challenge of overcoming addiction by introducing a device equipped with an alcohol sensor.

PROJECTS 2021-2022

1. SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR THANGALACHERI VILLAGE

TEAM : Abejith S J, Tharun PS, Krithika R, Aaron Jebasingh R V

THEME : Sustainable Energy

The project aims to solve the water problem sustainably. For that, the team has found certain solutions which will increase the water availability. Rainwater harvesting and drainage water maintenance by SBR Technique with a biogas reactor will provide a sustainable environment for the local area.

2. TREATING INDUSTRIAL WATER - DYE REMOVAL

TEAM : Kirupakar.P, Ram Prasanna.CV, Thabasum aara S, Rahulkannan.K

THEME : Clean water

The project mainly focuses on removing dyes from water sources using Adsorbents (Activated Carbon), which are low-cost and found to be effective. This process is based on the absorption principle. The cost of this project is less because we could produce our adsorbents with locally available bio-degradable waste materials. The wastewater is collected and mixed up with these adsorbents, and then filtered. The recycled water could be reusable. This process could be incorporated within the industries producing or working with dyes to remove the dye contents from their effluents before letting them drain to nearby aquatic sources.

3. A CHANGE FOR THANGALACHERI VILLAGE

TEAM : K.G.Rumesh sree, G.S.Gokula Prasanna, T.Nivashini ,S.Shahrruck

THEME : Clean water

A change for Thangalacheri village is a project based on a Pond filtration system. The pond filtration system is a technique to filter the Pond and also provide clean drinking water to the people and domestic animals of Thangalacheri village. It also prevents the formation of algal bloom and mosquito breeding. Also, by constructing a simple sewage system, the mixing of chemical waste into the pond is prevented.

4. SHAPING EARLY ADOLESCENCE

TEAM : S. M. Gomathi Sankar, Sona Meribah. W, Pon Vignesh. G, Sunil Kumar. S

THEME: Education Augmentation

Morality makes a complete man. A lack of morality is like a rootless tree. Hence knowledge about these values has to be incorporated through learning. The right age is early adolescence.

5..E-WASTE COLLECTION

TEAM: Nirmal selva.S, Harsheni. S. Karteeswaran N.S.K Bharath Balaji. E

THEME: Waste Management

This project is about using a mobile application to increase the ratio of recycling of e-waste by forming a bridge between users and recycling centers.
