The Department of English was established in1957. The department, comprising six faculty members, has been committed to designing and training students in communication skills so as to cope with the job expectations through efficacious teaching methodologies. The department currently offers Ph.D programme in Language and Literature. This is a recognised Research Centre of Anna University, Chennai.
