Projects: Community Detection

  • Developed a graph theoretic algorithm for detecting communities in an online social network.
  • Analyzed the effect of multi-word features on the communities formed.

Parallel cut-clustering

  • Developed and benchmarked a parallel algorithm to identify clusters of web documents to automatically form web directories.
  • The algorithm is a hybrid algorithm which can run on distributed and shared memory parallel programming platforms.
